The Van Buren Soccer lights project has been in the making for some years now. A lighted field will benefit our teams and players, as well as the town they proudly represent. Lights offer greater flexibility for on-field training and game activity to occur beyond limited after-school daylight hours. We are excited to announce that the scope of work and project cost has been defined!
We are grateful to work with some excellent local companies on this project. Van Horn, Hoover & Associates, INC completed the surveying. APTIM provided preliminary foundation designs. Gibson Concrete Construction will be responsible for the foundation installation, while Bowman Electric will be responsible for the electrical installation. The total cost of the project, including contingencies, is $140,000 – $155,000.
Through private donations we have raised over $43,000. We are now seeking the remaining balance through private donations in hopes of completing this project by the start of the 2021 soccer season. Stay tuned regarding ways you can contribute. Go Black Knights!
